David Hockney
David Hockney is an English artist who touched many fields of creativity. He was a painter, draughtsman, printmaker, stage designer and photographer. He is most famous for his paintings although he creates equally stunning photographs. His technique for photography (as well as some of his paintings) is that of collage. He reassembles photographs to give them an almost surrealistic/cubist quality. These photographs were inspiration for his later paintings. Hockney played a big part in the 60s pop art movement.
